Flanged eccentric reducers to be installed on the suction side of the main pumps; they are complete with a ¼" outlet with shut-off ball valve and vacuum pressure gauge (or pressure gauge on request). For the choice, check the diameter of the suction inlet of the DNA main pumps (standard supply limit) and then consult the following tables in order to define the DNB eccentric cone enlargement (according to the type of installation: under or overhead).

The suction of the main pump must be connected to a straight or conical pipe at least twice as long as the diameter of the suction. The reduction should be of the eccentric type, i.e. it should have a horizontal top and a maximum opening angle of no more than 20°. The valves must not be positioned directly on the pump suction port. Suction lines must be laid horizontally or with a continuous upward slope towards the pump to prevent the possibility of air pockets forming. In the case of undercut conditions, the diameter of the suction pipe must not be less than 65 mm. In addition, the diameter should be such that the speed is no greater than 1.8 m/s when the pump is operating at the maximum required flow. In overhead conditions, the diameter of the suction pipe must not be less than 80 mm. In addition, the diameter must be such that the speed does not exceed 1,5 m/s when the pump is operating at the maximum required flow. Flanged eccentric reducers to be installed in the suction of main pumps.
